Donna Frizzel
I have worked as a paralegal since 1997. I worked at Paty, Rymer, and Ulin for 20 years before joining our firm. I began working in divorce and child custody while I worked for Ms. Paty. She taught me how to work on family law cases, and she always made it interesting. She was a great mentor for me while I was starting because she always made sure I learned something new. I am still learning new things today since every case is different.
The thing I like the most about practicing family law is helping children. It is always good when children see their parents can work together as co-parents. Children see that their parents love them by putting aside their adult problems so they can raise their kids. At the end of the day, parents are still mother and father, and the children are still the children. Whatever we do, it must be in the best interest of the children. In my work, I strive to help people do right by their children. I am a protector because my goal is to make sure children are not put into the middle of a situation they did not ask for.
I have personal experience with family law through my own divorce. I have watched two of my children go through divorce, and I have watched friends go through divorce. No matter what you do divorce is not a pretty process, but we try to make it easier for families and their children.
I am from Signal Mountain, Tennessee. I graduated Magna cum laude from Chattanooga State College in 1997 with a degree in paralegal studies. In my spare time, I love to travel, go on cruises, visit the Biltmore, and love on my grandbabies. I have a big family who are all important to me. I have 3 children and 8 grandchildren, and I have 1 bonus son and 2 bonus grandchildren.
